The Rescue Equipment

The Nisto Aerial Boom Bucket Rescue device gives a 4-to-1 mechanical advantage to overcome a weight difference between crew members. The device is weather-proof and meant to be positioned on the boom and maintained there; it is always available and in sight. It removes the manhandling component and further injuries to the already injured lineman. Most rescues are completed in under 2 minutes.

Our Aerial Boom Bucket Rescue device is made with vinyl embossed polyester water-resistant bag, CSFM approved and UL rated. The strap and buckle used to attach the device to the boom is ANSI 316 stainless steel with breaking strength of 5, 000 lbs. The buckle used can fit either the round or the square boom. An 8mm polyester double braid rope allows for up to a 20’ lift with a breaking strength of 3,300 lbs.

Our safety snap is ANSI 316 stainless steel with 2,000 lbs. breaking strength. The blocks used are marine grade, carbo air block with a safe working load of 1,212 lbs. and breaking strength of 3,600 lbs.
